Origin of the Trinitarian Model

Everything is energy and that is all there is to it. Albert Einstein

The Model

All the great traditions see a trinity in creation. In the Tao Te Ching, attributed to Lao Tzu, in Ch. 42, it says:

Tao produces unity.
Unity splits into two
Two gives birth to three.
Three produces everything.

Various religious traditions put it differently, but in all cases there is a trinity: a primordial unity that generates an inherent polarity or duality, and their interaction leads to a force from which all things of phenomenal reality arise.

In quantum physics, there is the universal energy field as the source of everything, then matter is a form emerging as fluctuations in that field, and then motion becomes possible.

Rupert Sheldrake argues that if you seek a deeper reality then you always come back to this trinity which can be abstracted as:

1 = source  2= forms   3=change.

He views this as a model that enables understanding the relation of God to our world. Behind this model lies “ultimate reality” which is beyond comprehension.

Looking at the upper pole of transpersonal drivers in the responsive persona framework, it appears that:

G7: energies is the source

G6: ideals provide form

G5: capabilities lead to change

....which then generates everything else.

The Question

Is it the nature of personal functioning to generate the trinity and therefore generate theories and models with that form?
OR
Is the trinity something that shapes personal functioning and therefore has produced this in the Taxonomy?

I am inclined to think our inbuilt functioning determines how we see the world and create models.

There appears to be something fundamental about the responsive persona framework. As the final Tree of Willingness fundamentals, it is the most complex and ultimate organisation of willingness entities and their energies.

These energies are what makes and shapes all endeavours—including modelling—whether or not we choose to be aware of that.
