The Name
is a mental state—an inner willingness condition—that must be separated from any particular endeavour. It is derived from and similar to a . Naturally such a state will give birth to a myriad of endeavours.
The framework name was chosen to reflect the demand for maximum energy and willingness that potentially calls for use of any, many or all of the 28 components, often simultaneously.
Q: Do those components only apply to «Attempting the Possible»?
A: Any component can be used in any endeavour because willingness is always relevant. But while these components are absolutely necessary when the situation is extremely difficult, they can often be watered-down, ignored or by-passed when matters are straightforward.
Expedience, conformity, safety and a desire for the easy life will often drive a person to appease rather than confront, to cooperate rather than to collaborate, to limit practising to the minimum, to stick to old ideas that manifestly do not work rather than shifting perspective and taking on new beliefs.
In common with other structural hierarchies, the components of this framework can be used independently within any endeavour at any time.
The Framework
The framework can be conceived as emerging from to generate the 7 functions, which then activate more complex groupings by progressively adding an adjacent level for each activation.
So: enables which activates enabling which activates enabling which activates enabling which activates enabling which activates enabling which activates enabling which activates .
This developmental trajectory is shown in detail in the 2 diagrams below.

The Flow
The functioning of the groupings move progressively, starting with:
- confidently imagining that some improvement is possible in , which leads to initiation providing a foundation as g1 in all 28 components
then - unequivocally confirming the attempt in , which is based on principles that ensure integrity as g2 in 21 components
then - explicitly establishing efforts in , which calls for contesting and ensuring intensity as g3 in 15 components.
then - reliably protecting yourself and the process in , which demands adaptability to ensure sustenance as g4 in 10 components
then - reflectively putting yourself in play in , which enables evaluation and judgements as g5 in 6 components
then - intelligently making it worthwhile in , which provides inner stability and fosters mastery as g6 in 3 components
then - unselfishly powering all attempts in , which expresses dedication and leads to fulfilment as g7 in 1 final component.
The Properties
The details of the groupings can be compared in the table below.

| G | State requiring Force | Function | Groups | Requirements | Disruption | Dysfunction & Destructiveness | Direction of Assertion |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| G7 | Responsiveness requiring Energies | To give oneself completely to dealing with the situation. | 1 heptadic State | Attentiveness, attunement, surrender, devotion. | None | Withholding & Resignation | Outwards and independent |
| G6 | Excellence requiring Ideals | To ensure that personal efforts meet the highest expectations. | 2 hexadic Sources | Aspiration, discipline, self-discipline, receptivity | Externalities: eg lack of teachers, lack of colleagues, isolation. | Mediocrity & Pretension | Inwards with social confirmation |
| G5 | Drive requiring Capabilities | To take on a demanding responsibility that could change the situation. | 3 pentadic Forms | Authenticity, openness, self-knowledge, accountability. | Externalities: eg envy, competition, sabotage, suppression. | Avoidance & Blame-shifting | Outwards and independent |
| G4 | Balance requiring Relationships | To remain socially connected without losing perspective or integrity. | 4 tetradic Protectors | Self-restraint, open-mindedness, humility, flexibility. | Defensiveness, pride, posturing, stubbornness. | Rigidity & Manipulation | Inwards with social confirmation |
| G3 | Prevailing requiring Endurance | To deal unfalteringly with a flow of obstacles while maintaining direction and determination. | 5 triadic Means | Patience, tolerance of hardship. | Caving in, capitulation, backing down | Loss of focus & Sabotage | Outwards and independent |
| G2 | Continuity requiring Determination | To establish for oneself and others that efforts will be sustained despite distractions and setbacks. | 6 dyadic Promises | Courage and resolve. | Hesitancy, vacillation | Perfunctoriness & Betrayal | Inwards with social confirmation |
| G1 | Faith requiring Hope | To activate in a person the readiness to engage with whatever challenges present. | 7 monadic Vehicles | Energy and confidence | Discouraging emotions or moods | Defeatism & Despair | Outwards and independent |
