Elite Status Dynamics

Based on the Spiral development, a possible pattern is analysed below and shown at right.

Lead the Community

The lower section is the foundation for future elites.

CL1: From the outset, an elite aspirant seeks to become financially self-sufficient (CL1_B) as soon as possible, presenting as "the salt of the earth": good, earnest and humble.

CL2: However, as soon as possible, this is bolstered by getting widely known and admired CL2_B so as to be celebrated.

CL3: To demonstrate belonging, there is an active alignment with popular beliefs (CL3_S) but more importantly enthusiasm is applied to social ends (CL3_P). It may be possible at this stage to already be a benefactor.

CL4: Assuming communal leadership roles (CL4_B) completes the establishment of status, now as a natural leader.

Be a "Pillar of Society"

The upper section confirms status as an elite.

CL5: The important relationships are with existing elites: socializing with them (L5_P) and generally supporting the establishment (L5_S) with the goal of becoming part of the establishment.

CL6: That allows for societal immersion via investigating burning issues (CL6_P) and determining bounds of acceptability (CL6_S)as an opinion-former.

CL7: Finally, elites affirm the existing ethical-social order (L7_B)and join "the Great and the Good" of society.

The Framework as a Whole

It is evident that the Tree structure looks rather different, despite the underlying pressures and channel influences being the same.
