Elite Status Dynamics

Centre Differences

The elite aspirant seeks to become financially self-sufficient (CL1B) as soon as possible, presenting as "the salt of the earth": good, earnest and humble.

However, this is bolstered by getting widely known and admired CL2B so as to be celebrated.

To demonstrate belonging, there is an active alignment with popular beliefs (CL3S) but more important enthusiasm is applied to social ends (CL3P). It may be possible at this stage to already be a benefactor.

Assuming communal leadership roles (CL4B) completes the establishment of status, now as a natural leader.

The upper section is about becoming a pillar of society.

The important relationships are with existing elites: socializing with them (L5P) and generally supporting the establishment (L5S) with the goal of becoming part of the establishment.

That allows for societal immersion via investigating burning issues (CL6P) and determining bounds of acceptability (CL6S)as an opinion-former.

Finally, elites affirm the existing ethical-social order (L7B)and join "the Great and the Good" of society.
