Topic refers to a webpage that is accessible via a Table of Contents entry. The same term with a small "t", i.e. topic, refers to an item of interest.
■ The TOP Studio consists of a number of "Rooms" where various taxonomy projects are under development. These are explained below briefly.
■ The TOP Studio is updated regularly, usually weekly. The last posting date is at the bottom of this page. The date shown at the bottom of a Topic tells you when that Topic was last altered.
■ To get the best out of the TOP website, visit the Guide to Search. Note that using the Table of Contents Search within a Room may be restricted to that Room.
■ Hyperlinks may take you out of your Room to another Room or to a formally posted Topic within the Hub or Satellites. Because you only access the Topic, there are no visible breadcrumbs. If you want to explore that Topic via its Table of Contents, then you will need to open a separate browser window and navigate there via the Explore THEE menu. (If you don't know where your Topic is, paste a relevant phrase into the Search field—be sure to enclose it in double quotation marks.)
■ Your Comments are valued. However, once a comment has been absorbed (and possibly acted upon), it may become irrelevant and be removed. Comments with replies that illuminate an issue will likely remain posted.
Rationale: Frameworks being completed so as to be suitable for definitive posting.
Most of Structural Hierarchy Tree have not been determined and those pages have been moved to this Room.
is posted in its Satellite. However, the channels in theThis is the Principal Typology within . It is the basis for developing a Spiral, Spiral-Tree, Structural Hierarchy, Structural Hierarchy Tree. I won't be pursuing those for a while. My present interest lies in the Q-expansion that generates the frameworks.
Work within conventional organizations is posted in the Satellite. However, that is only one of a set of 7 Q-hierarchies generated via the Work takes place in 6 other domains, like academia and society. Fromulating all the frameworks is a major project which will take many years to fully complete.
These frameworks are the next priority. Given that THEE is a scientific project using inquiry, it seems wise to start developing and posting the early published discoveries about inquiry. Errors have already been found in that early work.
Rationale: New structural observations and conjectures about THEE's architecture.
A range of systematic and scientific analyses are posted here. There are two major research projects currently underway.
There is a question that so many find disturbing. Why is everything 7? (It's not strictly true—there are 2's, 3's, 4''s, 5's, 6's, and 10's—but the frequency of 7-level hierarchies is noticeable.) It now appears that this is due to all structural forms being based on a projection from the
. Because the has 7 levels, so does everything else. But why does the have 7 levels? Findings and speculations are being posted as knowledge develops.I discovered in the oscillating duality could be "forced" into its opposite. I had suspected this already in , so I am currently checking all Primary Hierarchies, some of which are not strongly validated. The picture has been through several revisions and is now formally articulated. Study of the findings has led to the discovery of non-taxonomic frameworks referred to as «emergent hierarchies».
that theRationale: Use of THEE to illuminate ideas and models popularized via web blogs or in best-selling books.
Psychosocial reality, the field of THEE, is regularly described and re-described, discovered and re-discovered. But usually without a strong focus on coherence, comprehensiveness, or validation.
In these exercises, a popular publication is taken and viewed from a taxonomic perspective. The first exercise is now out of date and has been removed. Currently available:
Harvard Business Review article: Seven Transformations of Leadership by D. Rooke & W.R. Torbert.
Some popular blog lists of "mind-blowing" concepts are currently being examined for analysis and possible posting.
Rationale: Tool for using and exploring the Taxonomy.
The Glossary is a major development project, commenced over 12 months ago and due for completion end-2013.
The initial set of items come from the Working with Values glossary, from
and from .Internal hyperlinks within the Glossary cannot be handled effectively until the whole Glossary is complete. But as that will never happen, there is a continuing developmental process here.
Various ways to maximize the usefulness of this Glossary are under development or being considered.
